How To Wear Hot Shorts In The Winter !

How To Wear Hot Shorts In The Winter !

Many people would say that's it's inappropriate to wear hot shorts in the winter, but sometimes we are not ready to put our summer clothes away. So how can you get away with wearing shorts in the winter? If you think of your hot shorts like a skirt then you are on the right track. Both of them show your legs, so why have the rule that skirts are okay for every season, but not shorts?

1.Wear Tights
All tights are not created equal. Some may not keep you that warm, but it is a sure way for you to cover up your legs to wear your hot shorts.

2. Leggings

Yes legging ! Leggings give you more warmth and come in a variety of styles. Yet another way to rock hot shorts look in the winter.

3. Thigh High Boots

Wearing thigh high boots allows less skin to be exposed to the elements. Thus allowing you the luxury of wearing hot shorts.
TIP: Keep in mind where you are going . If you are going to into a heated car and a heated building go for it and wear the hot shorts. However, if you are going to be outside for long periods of time i.e. waiting for the bus rethink your hot shorts. Remember no one should dictate to you what you should wear. Fashion is fun and your clothes should be an expression of you!

How To Wear A Repeat: The Same Dress Twice !

How to wear a repeat !

The holidays are here and you know what that means, lots of gatherings! Which leaves us gals with the question of what to wear ? I know that all of us have faced this dilemma from time to time. So what is a girl to do ? Well it's time to go into closet and wear a repeat. This is your 4 step guide of how to wear the same dress and make it look different each time!

1) Pick A Modest But Flirty Dress

Selecting the right dress is a key factor in wearing a repeat outfit. Select a dress that can work for any situation. A modest but flirty dress can be worn hanging out with friends, dinner with the family, or happy hour with co-workers. You must make sure your dress can work in all settings.

2) Say Yes To Solids, And No To Prints And Patterns

Wearing the same dress twice is simplified if you wear a solid. Solid colors allow accessories, hairstyles, and make up to be the statement pieces rather than the dress itself.  Dresses with prints and patterns limits the amount of times you can wear a dress before someone notices that you have worn it before.

3) Choose The Right Accessories & Shoes For The Look You Want!

This is your time to go wild, because there is no wrong or right way  to dazzle up a solid dress. Shoes and accessories will make your outfit look different each time ! Want to look sophisticated put on a metals, such as gold or silver. If you want a more daring look use color blocking techniques.

4) Change  Your
Hair & Make Up

Beautiful hair always assists in making an outfit stand out that much more. When wearing the same dress twice it is imperative to change the do. This gives the overall look a more refreshing feel. While visually the face is one of the first things we take in about a person. It is our way of telling who is who quickly. Therefore changing up your make up when wearing a repeat can draw attention to different features on the face.

The First Lady is a perfect example of how to wear a repeat outfit. Each time she gives it a twist by changing her shoes ,accessories, hairstyle and by adding a sweater she made this outfit look different .

As you can see anyone can follow these simple rules to make any outfit look brand new even if it is a repeat. The holiday season can be expensive so give yourself a break and wear what is already in your closet.

How Do I Pick The Right Winter Coat For My Body Type?

The Winter months are fast approaching, and it is best to be prepared before the frost comes in. Here are some tips on picking the right winter coat according to your body type.

In order to pick the perfect coat you first have to know your body type. Sometimes this can be difficult to figure out. The simplest way is to grab a measuring tape, and head to the nearest mirror.

Take your measuring tape and measure the 3 key areas of the body: chest, waist, and hips. If you are an Apple than you will notice that the measurements for your chest and waist will be larger than your hips. If you are still unsure you can look in the mirror and notice where you carry most of your weight. If most of your weight is carried above your waist than you are an Apple.

Coats For Apples:  Empire Waist
Why? Empire waist coats work well for apples as they draw attention up and away from the waist.

If you are a pear you will notice that your measurements for you chest and waist are smaller than that of your hips. If you are still unsure look in a mirror and take note of were you carry the most weight. If the answer is your hips and lower body than you are a pear.

Coats For Pears: Strong Shoulders

Why?  Jackets and coats that have strong shoulders takes attention away from your larger bottom. This gives you a more streamlined look.

If you have an hourglass shape the measurements of your chest and hips should be the same . As well as your waist being 9 inches smaller than your chest and hips. For example 36-24-36. Both the chest and the hips are the same amount of inches while the waist is 9 inches smaller.

Coats For Hourglass: Belted
Why? Winter Coats that will fit best on the Hourglass body type are those that draw attention to the feminine curves. Coats that are belted at the waist best shows off this most desired body type.

If you measure your self and do not see to much of a difference in the circumference of your inches between your chest, waist, and hips. Then you are a rectangle. What to make absolutely sure? If you are carrying weight in your stomach and backside and not your arms and legs then you are a ruler.

Coats For Rectangle: Fitted Jacket
Why? Fitted Jackets and Coats work wonders for rectangles because it gives the illusion of a more defined waist.

Fashion By The Districts

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

" The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" premiered this weekend with a bang. As always the fashion in the movie is delectable. The  fashion of the 12 districts ranges from the basic to the avant garde. Which left me wondering about the fashion in all of Panem's 12 Districts?

District 12 is the lowest district on the totem pole, and consists of coal miners. This district inhabitants wear muted colors that appear to be very warn down from years of washing.

District 11 is a group of agriculturalist, as seen in this tribute picture are wearing overalls to depict the hard labor that exists in this district.
District 10 consists of cowboys and cowgirls. They wear clothes that is suitable for working with livestock.

In the film it somewhat difficult to see what Districts 9-2 wear, however here is a synopsis of each district and with a little imagination one can figure out what each district would wear.

District 1 is the district of luxury. The fashion here is Avant Garde with big hair and dazzling jewels. Nothing is to glamorous for these dwellers.

  1. Basic Black

Basic Black Leggings are wonderful because they can be worn with anything. They can be dressed up on down with accessories. Also colorful tops and shoes can take these Basic Black Leggings to new heights as seen on Kim Kardashian who is wearing a light cream blazer and matching shredded top.
2. Corset Leggings
Just by adding the leather strap corset effect to these black leggings make them edgy.  As seen on this model wedges add height without being a heel.

3.Mesh Leggings

Mesh Leggings are a popular peek-a-boo style that are being more popular. Be on trend and get some of your own. What is fun about these leggings is that they will instantly make you the center of attention. This style can be seen on recording artist Jessie J.
